I am a Mum to two boys one of whom is Autistic and has various other additional support needs. Trying to get support for him has led me on this amazing journey which has guided me to support other children through meditation, mindfulness and Forest School. My son has also attended his own Forest School setting where he thrived. I now get to share these benefits of Forest School and connection with nature with others.

I work full-time for Fireflies as a Therapeutic Forest School Leader in a variety of schools as well as running sessions at my own woodland site near Methlick. I previously established and ran for 2 years  a local primary school's Forest School provision for all pupils from Nursery - Primary 7.

My qualifications

• Certified Outdoor Mental Health Practitioner
• Forest School and Outdoor Learning Leadership, Newbattle Abbey College (Forest School Leader)
• Certificate in Therapeutic Skills for Outdoor Leaders
• Certificate in Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing
• Certificate in Intensive Wellbeing Support in the Outdoors.
• As well as this I have my Outdoor First Aid and Outdoor Food Hygiene qualifications.
• Connected Kids Professional Tutor

My personal vision for Fireflies is to offer all ages and abilities opportunities to nurture and thrive in nature.  As well as that to have FUN, lots of FUN!!
